Today could have also been titled ’wind in the willows’ or ‘messing around in boats’ or ‘man overboard’ because daddy ran into some submerged something and got thrown off the SUP. Thankfully the water was only waste deep, and Kelsie thought it was hilarious sitting on the front a few cuts and bruises from the rocks on the river bed but no real harm done. Seeing the flotsam and jetsam along the Campaspe river from the floods so many years ago was interesting. The Murray obviously gets more attention.
Today was our annual high street shopping spree. Stops at Rich Glen, St Anne’s cellar door, Read Heeler book shop, Good Ole Country Gifts, Echuca Heritage Sweet Co and Wake Ski & Surf resulted in some heavily laden arms returning to the pool in the mid afternoon.
The quiet-ish pool from our arrival has gone full mayhem as there is another boy who has joined the pose and swims are now a game of survival of the fittest. One new ‘friend’ has a loose sense of personal space and social timing. Much like that drunk random distant relative who overstays at the family Christmas this boy turned up solo to the family dinner, sat down uninvited and didn’t leave until we packed our pizzas up and went inside.
We’ve not had Moama pizza since we stayed in Moama when Kelsie was still a baby. There’s still emotional trauma, that even a demolished and rebuilt shop front can’t erase. But brave take away we did, not without near misses. Kelsie was bored, no half and half on regular pizza, but yes we can add ham on half. Mum was excited and dad was intrigued to try the famous lasagna pizza. The experience rated as ‘Noice,Unusual’ probably will not buy again.

Another great day guys. Glad the children enjoyed the company of younger folk, even the young socially inept kid! Unfortunately, it’s the way of the world these days!
