Mum and dad were woken by not so hushed scheming from Kelsie and Ethan, followed by a bed invasion to the chorus “It’s 8 am on our first full day in Echuca and it’s time to get in the pool”. For the first time, they were self fed and almost ready to go so while Dad built a plan out for the week. Kelsie and Ethan frolicked in the chill waters.
A recent quote (see if can pick the source) “more is lost by indecision than by wrong decision” inspired Mum and Dad to quickly bundle everyone into the RAV4 and head to Australian Mexico also known as Cactus Country Strathmerton.
Cactus Country is a great spot with some amazing cacti. Ethan discovered they also have flys and was borderline in tears from unwanted attention.
Everyone had Nachos for lunch except Ethan who wanted bacon on toast.
Ethan will be starting at a new school in 2026, Mum and Dad are looking to give him the same opportunities that Kelsie has had in 2026. Ethan often struggles with spelling like his dad did (does) but finds capability when encouraging everyone to say traf backwards at the dinner table.
The neighbours from our Echuca’25 stay are back. It remains to be seen if this is going to be as intrusive or if time has been accompanied by growth.
Lastly all publications must, from time to time, acknowledge that they left out critical pieces of information from their posts. Yesterday Daddy failed to highlight the monumentally significant milestone of Mummy submerging her head in a body of water for the first time in 32 years. Well done Mum!
