Today will go down in Pool Wain family folklore as ‘backflip Monday’. The Family visited ‘Aqua Island’ which is less like an island and more like an inflatable city Kevin Costner might visit in Water World. Ethan showed his Parkour skills navigating all the obstacles, except the tower, with no fear and an agility beyond his years. He also performed an epic backflip when launched off the pillow. Ask Mum to see the footage.
Kelsie was in her usual element on the tower, proving once and for all that she has conquered heights and high board diving will be her apparatus.
We planned to get a lunch at the Beechworth Bakery on the way back to the apartment, this quickly changed to lunch after getting changed, into skipping lunch and going straight to ice-cream.
Mum and Dad did get to vistit the St Annes winery tasting room, but not before the following conversation.
Ethan: You know how you said we have to go to the winery today if we had ice-cream yesterday? Well, I didn’t have ice cream so does that mean the deal doesn’t apply to me?
Kelsie: But mine melted.!
The aforementioned ice cream had to be used as additional bribery. As well a the condition that after dinner ice cream was still dependent on good behaviour.
The bickering continues. During the afternoon swim Kelsie and Ethan had to be given a timeout on deck chairs at different ends of the pool area. A technique that could work for government question time.
Ethan has been asking for hotdogs for dinner for the whole holidays, unfortunately no restaurants/takeaway places in Echuca sell hotdogs. So, Daddy trotted off to Coles to get hotdogs, buns and sauce. So, Ethan could eat the buns plain, play the drums with the hotdogs, and not put sauce on anything.
Tomorrow morning Daddy and Kelsie go sunrise Stand Up Paddleboarding. Wish us luck.
