SkipBo SkipDay

Well from, 5:30 am we had sub 5min check-ins from Ethan wanting to know if it was time to get up.

Neither Kelsie or Ethan wanted to eat breakfast, they wanted to play in the toddler room with a ball pit and soft matting that they were trying to build a fort with.

There was an air of conflict from breakfast and for sure Ethan and Kelsie could not agree on any activity. Kelsie wanted to swim in the morning, and Ethan wanted to go to the games room. Ethan wanted to play SkipBo and Kelsie didn’t.

Kelsie initially didn’t want to go to the beach and Ethan did, then the roles reversed, and Ethan was sulking that he wanted to stay home. When we got to a beach Ethan wanted to play in the water and stay forever, Kelsie just wanted to play ‘sand fetch’ with a local dog.

We found ‘Doggy Beach’ on the Noosa Heads River side, with the only waves those from the wake of boats. We nearly lost Mummy trying to swim across the river to the sand dunes, the current was far too strong. Both Kelsie and Ethan were happy playing until they got tired and hungry for snacks then they wanted to go as quickly as possible. Which still took about half an hour to round them up and walk the 50 meters to the car, get changed, shower with bush turkeys and into the car.

Both Kelsie and Ethan snacked all day but didn’t eat anything substantial or remotely healthy.

Back home Ethan didn’t really want to go to the pool but Kelsie did, until Ethan decided he wanted to go into the hot tub, and Kelsie didn’t.

Kelsie wanted chips for dinner and Ethan didn’t want anything. Kelsie wanted to play SkipBo before bed and Ethan didn’t.

Most of the day was a divide and conquor. Tomorrow might be a special day, we will see how it goes.
