Rain and Golf

Today it rained mostly, not heavily, but consistently. It wasn’t too cool and did get quite humid in the afternoon. Still, it’s a big change from the hot dry heat of the past few days.

We toured the Port of Echuca Museaum. Kelsie and Ethan played detective trying to find all the items on a scavenger hunt list. They found them all, including some hidden on some drawers that Daddy would have missed. Daddy managed to almost lose the water bottles this time when leaving the play house.

We had to make a stop at the Penny Arcade as they had made a fresh batch of watermelon fudge, especially for Kelsie. Daddy bought some coffee fudge. Ethan had Cookies and Cream ice cream. It was better than Golden Crumb, but Golden Crumb is still his favorite.

Ethan was quite upset he couldn’t get the spider necklace at the jewelry shop. Mostly because it wasn’t kid safe. He ended up choosing another stuffed dog ‘flame’ at the Christmas shop. Flame spent the rest of the day trying to burn things down.

Lunch at the Star Hotel was a bit of a miss. 3 dishes with fish on them did not go down well with Mum, and her Pumpkin Pesto pasta without pumpkin pesto was less than appealing.

Keslie managed to lose her little bag of lolies between lunch and home.

A quick dip in the pool for Kelsie and Dad. It was warm enough for a while, but by 3 pm a warm shower was the order of the day.

Mini Golf then Dinner at the Rich River Golf Club. Even the golf club had suffered flood damage as the bridge was out on holes 9 and 18. Ethan had his second plate of fish n chips for the day and finally got his garlic bread.

Tomorrow, we go home, Its back to reality on Tuesday. Jan is almost over.
