Swimming at 7:30am! because it’s really not that cold Dad, Yes it is! But sometimes negotiations are required to get Kelsie and Ethan out the door. You would think that Seaworld alone was enough excitement, but it wasn’t enough.
Dad was very proud to be able to navigate from the resort to Seaworld without the need for GPS or additional directions. Including being able to navigate the construction for the V8 supercars race the weekend we leave.
Kelsie did ask “What are we doing tomorrow?” before we even got to Surfers.
The day was Jam-packed with the usual excitement.
- Novelty game vending machines to be avoided.
- Photo Ops with characters real and imaginary.
- Thrill rides are big and small. No medium!
- overpriced everything.
- Apps, Cameras, rides, etc not working
Some key highlights that deserver elaboration.
We’ve unleashed a beast with Kelsie. After easing into the day with a few kid’s rides, a Dolphin show, and a photo op with a Seal (flashback to a Pregnant Kim 8 years earlier, We went on the Storm roller coaster. Kelsie was screaming “I want to go again” before the ride was finished. The rest of the afternoon was kid’s rides for Ethan and queuing (Virtual or physical) for the Storm with Kelsie. Kelsie finished the day with 4 Storm rides, Daddy 3, Mummy 2, and Ethan 1 (never again).
Since being swooped by a Magpie last weekend, Ethan has a firm phobia of aggressive birds, a seagull at lunch resulted in 3 large scoops of ice cream landing on the ground, much to Ethan’s additional distress.
In the desert of exorbitant prices, there was one oasis, the ice cream. 3 scoops of premium ice cream were cheaper than what you could buy at the supermarket and leagues cheaper than what I’d been paying for service station icecreams.
Ethan fell asleep in the car on the way home. Keslie was a caring older sister comforting him until we got home and suggested “Could we turn off the noise (radio) so he (Ethan) can sleep”
Drink of choice: Wild Turkey and cola.
